Christmas came a little early for Jeremy and Mary as they exchanged vows on Dec. 17 in Hope, Ark. The church was adorned with numerous poinsettias which set the stage for a beautiful wedding. Here is a selection of photos from their wedding day.

The Christmas break gave me the opportunity to photograph my daughter Rebecca and her friend Andrea. It’s always a struggle to persuade her to cooperate with me for a brief photo session. But when she finally does, it’s usually worth the effort! Here are a few photos from the shoot.

I was picking up tennis balls after playing with my daughter when I noticed this ball’s long shadow produced by the setting sun. I grabbed my iPhone and snapped this photo which was uploaded to Instagram. I thought it made a neat picture.

I met up with Dan, Jackie, Micah and Jacob near the OBU soccer fields in late November for a family photo session. Overcast skies and mild temperatures, along with a couple of boys in a great mood, made for a perfect day to take some holiday photos.

Anna Lee Bell is a senior at Arkadelphia High School and will graduate in May 2012. We had a great time at her senior photo session at DeGray Lake in November.

Shane Seaton and Hannah Eubanks were married at the bride’s home in Caddo Valley on Oct. 1, 2011. A small lake provided a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony and reception. The outdoor setting was perfect for the not-so-traditional wedding, which included the groom and his groomsmen arriving in canoes and a bagpipe player providing the music while the couple literally tied the knot. It was a fun wedding and the newlyweds were a pleasure to work with. Here’s a slideshow featuring some of their wedding photos.

I photographed Michael and Cassie Robinson’s wedding in 2008, and have taken their family portraits each year since then. It’s always a delight to work the couple and their son Hayden, who was rather adventurous during this recent session.

One of my favorite shoots each year is the official photo of the Henderson State University Marching Band, better known as “The Showband of Arkansas.” I was a member of this fine organization about 30 years ago! In addition to the full band, I also photographed some smaller groups and individuals. It’s always a pleasure to work with this group.

I had the opportunity to photograph the homecoming queen candidates for Arkadelphia High School recently. Here is a composite of the beautiful girls and their escorts. Can you guess which one was crowned queen?
